About Me
Diane Huyck is a native California artist who has recently made Frederick her home.
She is a graduate from California Institute of the Arts where she studied and practiced Set Design for Theatre and Film.
After graduating in 1995, she set out to work in Hollywood, California in both Theatre and Film.
Diane learned many painting techniques and "tricks of the trade" during her days as a scenic artist.
She quickly progressed from Scenic Painter to Set Decorator and finally to Art Director for several films, television, and commercials.
It was during this time where she met many future clients, as her career to interior design was to unfold.
Diane also offers design services. She will guide you step by step through the design process for your home or office.
She will share her basic principles of design and help you with your furniture placement and color choices.
Her creative experience includes decorative painting, fine art, interior design, furniture painting, event planning, project management, designing period pieces for Theatre and Film, and currently has added to the list staging homes for sale.
Her work can be seen in restaurants and commercial buildings throughout Los Angeles, and currently in the Frederick and Washington DC area.
